The cost-effective workhorse tank is the 400 barrel tank. Although it requires an oversized load permit to travel down the highway because it is nearly 12 feet wide, a single truckload can carry 800 barrels of storage capacity (2 - 400 BBL Tanks). Contrast this to a 500 barrel frac master which holds 460 barrels - which is rounded to 500 barrels, making up one truckload. Because no trailer is included in the price of the 400 barrel tank, the storage cost per barrel is minimal.
