The cost-effective workhorse tank is the 400 barrel tank.  Although it requires an oversized load permit to travel down the highway, because it is nearly 12 feet wide, a single truckload can carry 800 barrels of storage capacity.  Contrast this to a 500 barrel frac tank on wheels, which holds 460 barrels, (which is then rounded up to 500 barrels) for a single truckload.  Because no trailer is included in the pricing of the 400 barrel tank the storage cost per barrel is minimal.
